About this layer

Recreation.gov is the booking system for federal campgrounds, but its search is built around one place at a time. This layer puts more than 4,400 reservable campgrounds and cabins from Recreation.gov on one map. It includes sites run by the Forest Service, Army Corps of Engineers, National Park Service, BLM, Bureau of Reclamation and Fish and Wildlife Service.

Each point shows the number of sites and has a Reserve link that takes you straight to the booking page. Use it to scan a whole region for available options: draw your route, turn this layer on, and see which bookable campgrounds sit near each night's stop. It also helps when your first choice is sold out and you need the next closest reservable site.
