About this layer

Every town seems to have a museum, from big city art museums to a historical society in an old house. This layer maps museums recorded in OpenStreetMap, with data © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL, and lets you filter by kind where mappers have tagged it, such as art, history or science.

Use it to find a rainy day stop on a road trip, plan a city weekend or discover small museums you would otherwise drive past. Opening days are often limited for small museums, so check before you go. Combine it with Planes, Trains and Tanks on Display, Historic Forts and Lighthouses for a history trip, or with Observatories for science stops.
