About this layer
State parks and state natural resource agencies run thousands of campgrounds, often with good facilities near lakes, beaches and towns. This layer will map state park and DNR campgrounds once data licensing with the state agencies is sorted out. It is listed as coming soon and does not show data yet.
In the meantime, Bottomless Maps already covers the federal side of camping in detail: Forest Service, BLM and National Park Service campgrounds, reservable sites from Recreation.gov, Army Corps of Engineers recreation areas, and free dispersed camping. Turn those layers on together to see how much public camping already sits near your route, and check back for state parks when this layer goes live.
