About this layer

Airing down for a sandy or washboard road is easy. Finding air again afterward can be harder. This layer maps air pumps for tires recorded in OpenStreetMap, with data © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL, mostly at gas stations and service areas. It is useful for overlanders, cyclists on long tours and anyone who notices a low tire far from home.

Coverage is patchy because many pumps were never mapped, so treat it as a list of known pumps, not every one. Pair it with Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Map roads and Dispersed Camping before a backroad trip, or with Bike Repair Stations if you are on two wheels.
